INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICATION

Step by step

VARNISH PREPARATION

  1. Restore varnish before application. Onyx Coating is not a lacquer restaurant; all clay, rubbing and restoration work must be carried out before application.

  2. The best results are obtained with products that do not contain wax or fillers that must be removed before applying Onyx Coating.

  3. Wash and dry varnish thoroughly.

  4. Remove wax and sealant from the surface. Use Onyx Coating Paint Prep or similar solvent-based paint preparation.

  5. Test a small neutral area to confirm compatibility, pay special attention to the paintbrush or specially adapted paint.

Remember that the surface / varnish must be completely free of other product residues. Do not leave cloths / rags with Paint Prep on painted surfaces.

APPLICATION

You can use the product on a small part of a neutral area (side window, bumper, rim, etc.) to control how quickly the product dries at a given temperature. This way you can use the product on smaller sections to compensate for faster drying. Recommended temperature is between 10-32 C °.

  1. Apply Onyx Coating using the supplied coating pad and cover the entire section or panel with one thin layer. Any "touch-ups" on areas that are overlooked should be done after the original product has been buffet (step 2). If you want extra coats, wait until the first coating is completely cured (1-4 hours depending on temperature and humidity).

  2. Approximately 1-5 minutes after application (depending on temperature and humidity) on the panel or section, polish gently until you achieve a high gloss. Use a dry microfiber towel and do not allow the product to dry completely.

  3. At high temperatures (> 38 ° C) the drying time may need to be reduced to less than 1 minute so that the coating does not dry out completely.

  4. If you notice any untreated areas after polishing, you can re-treat the area with Onyx Coating Resin and re-polish the area with a microfiber towel.

  5. Always test a small neutral area to confirm compatibility, pay special attention to the paintbrush or custom paint.

  6. Be sure to check all surfaces after application to ensure that no areas need further polishing.

  7. Ready for light / dry driving after 8 hours. The treatment cures within 4 hours. The coating will harden further over the next 10-14 days.

GRAPHENE AND GRAPHENE PRO - PRECAUTIONS

DO NOT USE IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT - apply on a completely dry, clean and cool surface (10-32 ° C).

  2. For faster application, a microfiber sponge can be used as an applicator.
